I currently have a keyword phrase optimised page which is no1 on google.co.uk and no2 on google.com which in the past months have brought in sales and a steady number of visitors with an okish bounce rate. I feel there is more I can get out of this page and have always thought to myself what about putting up AdWords so that both appear at the top of google (I think to myself surely this is a silly idea)…

Well 11 days have passed and so far I have had two sales via adwords and in the hosting business this is good because as long as I look after my customers well it will be a recurring sale, both customers actually paid for a year and one even paid extra for a static IP.

The good news is that on AdWords those two sales combined I earnt around £90 and I have only spent £1.74 on AdWords to date which to me is pretty good for a start.

I would mention the keywords here but want to keep a lid on that as I believe it may be a niche for me.

In total I have had

• 10 Clicks across 3 keywords / 1 keyword phrase
• 1,696 Impressions (its high but at least people are not clicking mad)

My advert is straight to the point as well offering a service and stating the price on the advert, I’m also offering a discount which I guess is enticing the buyers in.

My next step now is to try and find more keyword phrases which cost hardly anything for position 1 and I might also try and create some ad variations.

I thought I would share this with you guys, oh and this is my very first blog post.
