04Kids Math Shop - An Idea?

One suggestion I’ve read about encouraging visitors to come back to your site says that you should have games or puzzles on the site.
I wonder if the kids mask and math software sites could do this? If you think some of your software has gone a full cycle then perhaps the software has a future in a different form. You could use mask drawing as an online game to keep children visiting a site.
Perhaps you could have simple online versions of the software - not enough to discourage a download or purchase of course - but perhaps enough to occupy a 5 or 6 year old for a while and encourage repeat visits over a few weeks. I know my kids get fascinated by the simplest of drawing or word games online.
The other thing that might be missing from the site is Adsense. If you did encourage people to visit again they might be tempted to click on ads.
I’m not sure this idea fits exactly with an online shop but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

Yeah. Hmmm.
I was thinking about doing some sample masks in some PDFs to give people an idea.
Producing an online game would take a lot of work.
Getting visitors to my KMF site isn’t my problem, its getting them to buy
I’m not really sure about adsense, in my experience you have to get a lot of hits to drive up the percentage of click throughs and therefore you wouldn’t make much money on it.

I never like to give up on a project, I always find that when I leave a project something encourages me to pick it up again, like a sale.
I was just chucking an idea about really. Don’t forget the earlier idea about selling REAL masks too.

That is a good idea about real masks, what sort of real masks?
At the moment I use shareit to sell my software, I’m not sure whether I can add real mask products, I guess theres no reason why I couldn’t as people sell software and send the license keys later.
I’ve just been having a look at shareit, I followed my product link and tried to add different things to my cart and I couldn’t figure it out

What I mean is that I wouldn’t write one myself, I’d buy an existing script if I wanted to put a game on one of my sites.

Can you point me to the exact page you think is confusing - you’ve got lots of sites - so I can try.

I just use Paypal but I’ve got only 1 product and no need for a cart. I will be investigating Google Checkout though to offer people an alternative. This week I had my first sale in Tanzania and Paypal refused to accept the customer’s Visa. He had to borrow a friend’s Mastercard.

I’ve made some changes to my KMF Share IT store and the links I use on my main KMF site.
I didn’t realise that ShareIT allowed people to buy more that one software product where the license was produced their and then for each product.
It was just a matter of allowing cookie in the URL to shareIT, a parameter.
I’ve also added mask pack logos to Share IT and screen shot logo to make it more obvious that people can buy them.
Also added some changes to the H1 tag on the mask pack pages, But Cute mask Pack.. etc.
I’ve also had to change my key generator program so it allows more than one serial number to be past in, which I’ve asked customers to CSV.
I did a test order and it all worked
Quite pleased.
So now I can sell real masks too.
I have bought stock in the past, but I’m a little scared about buying new things. What sort of things did you think of ? Rubber masks? or plastic ones?
Try cheaper plastic masks first. Having said that what numbers of cheaper masks do you need to sell to make it worthwhile?

So are you thinking people might buy these as well or instead of?
I guess I’m thinking that there isn’t going to be much profit in selling masks until I can buy them in bulk, but I guess I have to speculate to accumulate.
I suppose I could try and buy the same sort of masks that I’m using in my program, or maybe I should sell different ones, hmmm ?
I guess I could also sell crayons etc…
How old are your kids?
I’ve found some cheap plastic masks, I’ve emailed the site just to check the contents, as it says assortment.
Also seen some kits, with crayons and pre printed masks.
Although the plastic masks is a good idea, I’m concerned how I would send them through the post, I’d probably need some boxes and therefore the profit would be very low.
Also the kits I saw were for 3+ only.
